On the West of Jinack Island are miles of deserted beaches lapped by the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the River Gambia. On the East are meandering mangrove creeks.

Sustainable Eco Tourism & Conservation Project In Gambia
The local village of Jinack Niji is based at the creek side Jinack Island. The villagers are subsistence farmers and fishermen, who are dependent on natural resources for the livelihoods.
Since 2005 we have worked closely with the community leaders, villagers and local craftsman to build and run Djembe Fever Lodge and in 2014 we opened the Feel Free Lodge in a prime location on the beach.

The eco friendly accommodation consists of 4 double rooms and one family room, a bar and a restaurant. There are numerous outdoor seating and dining areas and the electricity at the lodge is 100% solar powered.
At the Feel Free Lodge you can walk from your room to a beautiful sandy Gambian beach or relax under a small Bantaba erected from bamboo and palm leaves along with small canopies and loungers for shade.
